Pediatric Services

Pediatric Therapy
Nola Speech and Feeding offers a therapeutic treatment approach designed to improve communication skills for children birth to three. In addition to, treatment targeting children with dysphagia and pediatric feeding disorders. Improving acceptance of novel and nutritious foods for picky eaters. Increasing the safe intake of oral nutrition for
children utilizing non-oral means of nutrition (G-tube/NG tube).
As well as, the growth of oral nutrition for children who have difficulty gaining weight due to decreased oral intake(failure to thrive).
Early Language Evaluation
Dynamic Language Evaluations involving both formal and dynamic evaluations tools to assess a child’s ability to utilize age appropriate language skills across environments, and to determine if therapy is needed.
Language Treatment
Ongoing early language treatment to improve children’s ability to utilize language strategies to increase vocabulary, communicate basic wants and needs, and to utilize age appropriate language skills.
Feeding/Swallow Evaluation
Clinical Swallow Assessments used to determine if a child utilizes appropriate oral motor and swallowing skills during intake of nutrition by mouth. Additionally, to evaluate intake of oral nutrition for children who utilize non-oral means of nutrition via G-tube or NG tube.
Swallow Treatment
Ongoing therapy to decrease a child's need for non-oral means of nutrition, and ensure safe swallowing across trials.
Feeding Evaluation
Sensory and Oral Motor feeding evaluations to determine if intervention is needed to address limited food intake and to determine if a child is able to utilize adequate oral motor skills during intake of nutrition via bottle, cups, and advance advanced solids textures.
Feeding Treatment
Ongoing clinical treatment to improve children’s oral motor skills for acceptance of advanced textures, increase intake of varied foods, improve oral acceptance to decrease food aversions.
